What if an event is cancelled due to weather?

All efforts will be made to continue racing in the event of weather. If unable to continue racing decisions as to the value of the ticket will be made day of the event and will be contingent on the status of the race. Please listen carefully to the announcement(s) made as to when the event will be rescheduled. You will need to have ticket to be able to attend the rescheduled event. NO EXCEPTIONS. If first round of competition has been completed there will not be refunds.

Can I bring in alcohol?

In no case will outside alcoholic beverages be permitted at Platinum Raceway. GLASS BOTTLES ARE NOT ALLOWED AT ANY TIME. This is for the safety of the guests and racers. There will be a selection of alcohol beverages available to spectators and racers.

Are pets allowed at Platinum Raceway?

We prefer no pets. However, if you must bring your pet you MUST have an updated shot record and the pet MUST be leashed. Pets will not be allowed in restricted areas, grandstand area or the tower area. This is for the comfort of our guests.

Do you sell Fuel?

Platinum Raceway sells Sunoco Racing Fuel and can fill your nitrous bottles. The track has for your convenience Methanol, 104 Unleaded, 110 Leaded, 112 and 116. Additional fuel grades may be ordered to accommodate your request. Houston Raceway has waste oil dump locations, water and air available for your use.

Do you have restrooms?

Our full-service restrooms are located behind the bleachers, next to Platinum Concessions and are staffed as long as we are open and competition is underway.

What are the prices for children?

Children 12 & under are free with a paying adult for most events. Some events have an admission fee for children. Please check the brochures or event page for special events.

What methods of payments are accepted at the track?

Platinum Raceway accepts cash, Apple Pay, and all major credit cards. However, we do not accept, CashApp, PayPal, or Zelle.

How do I race my car?

You would buy a race ticket online prior to the start of the event or at the ticket booth the day of the event. These fees vary according to event. Please check event page for pricing of the event you are interested in. After purchasing a race ticket, you need to fill out the tech card in its entirety. Please take your racing car, tech card and ticket to inspection the day of the race. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must sign a waiver in order for you to race. This must be done in person with valid ID in front of a track official. All racers need a valid I.D and all other vital documentation.

What do I need to race?

A valid driver’s license, seat belt, long pants, shoes/socks and shirt. The racers shirt cannot be a tank top and their shoes cannot be open-toed. Flip flops, sandals and bare feet are not permitted.

Where can I buy tickets for events?

For most events tickets are sold the day of the event at the ticket booths. In some cases, you may be able to purchase tickets to events in advance via FOAT, Eventbrite, etc. You may also call us at: 318-252-4448 with any questions, comments, or concerns.

Does the park have a concession?

Yes, Platinum Concessions are open for every event and serve a variety of delicious hot food and cold drinks.

May I exit the park and return?

You may exit the park and return if you have a ticket, hand stamp or armband. Please be sure to have all credentials with you at the time you exit and return. You must re-enter through the ticket booths.

Do you have Luxury Suites?

Yes, Luxury Suites are available for parties up to 30. Suites may be leased for the entire race season, or may be reserved for individual events – based on availability. All suites are on a first come first serve basis. Please call us at 318-252-4448 or email us at booking@platinumraceway.com to book your reservations in advance.

Can I bring my golf cart, quad or scooter?

Platinum Raceway does not allow outside golf carts, quads, bikes, scooters, or any other electrical events to be ridden on at the Park.

Can anyone rent the track and put on an event?

Yes! Anyone over 18 years of age may rent the track privately. Just give us a call at 318-252-4448 and we will help you with all inquiries about booking.
